The Hydrogen Ship Technology Center (HSTC) at Pusan National University is a world-leading research hub focused on advancing hydrogen technologies. The HSTC-IRES Scholars Program, funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, offers students the opportunity to work directly with hydrogen fuel systems and liquid hydrogen (LH₂) storage technologies in one of the most innovative research environments.
Each summer from 2026 through 2029, a cohort of 8 students will participate in a 10-week program in Busan, South Korea. Participants will engage in hands-on research on hydrogen storage, fuel cell integration, and energy efficiency under the mentorship of leading experts in the field. The program also includes a week of cultural immersion to explore Korea’s vibrant heritage.
To broaden professional impact, scholars will present their research at an international conference, gaining valuable exposure and networking opportunities with global leaders in sustainable energy.
